Hailing from the picturesque landscapes of England, UK, Joanna stands proudly as the unique sibling in her family born on British soil, carrying with her the vibrant tapestry of multicultural heritage.
Her educational journey led her to the University of East London, where she honed her craft, earning a degree in Graphic Design and a Master's degree in Filmmaking. It was during this academic odyssey that Joanna discovered her true calling, a fervor for unearthing and narrating untold stories from the diaspora. As a resilient, independent Black woman, her unwavering mission is to produce documentaries that amplify the voices and experiences of Black communities.
